  1. Go with Veuve Cliquot Ponrsadin
    Best Champagne for the money.
Most people say it tastes like “Don Perignon” ( thats $100 or more a bottle).
This is the best selling Champagne by far in that price range.

  2. This site has some good info…

I personally don’t go for brut champagne… I prefer a little more sweetness (though not too sweet!) Unfortunately I have to tell you that the nicest champagne I ever had was a $100 bottle…. the others have all been pretty ‘blah’. I guess I have expensive tastes – that’s probably why I don’t drink much champagne!!! Lol… if you or your boyfriend aren’t used to drinking champagne then I would definately suggest you try the sweeter ones and not the brut. Cuvee isn’t too bad because it has the fruitiness. Unfortunately I would have to suggest the best champagnes are the proper french ones which can cost a LOT of money… more than $35…

  3. Perrier Jouet NV Grand Brut $35
Ariston Carte Blanche Brut Champagne $23
    Taittinger Domaine Carneros Brut 2003 $ 20
    Deutz Brut Classic NV $30
Louis de Sacy Brut Grand Cru NV $27

hope these help. good luck and enjoy.
